How to Reset a Neff Dishwasher
The simplest and most effective reset method for a Neff dishwasher is a power reset. Follow these steps:
Step 1
Turn the dishwasher off using the power button.
Step 2
Switch the appliance off at the mains wall socket.
Step 3
Leave the machine unplugged for at least 2–3 minutes. This allows the control board to fully discharge and reset.
Step 4
Plug the machine back in and switch it on at the mains.
Step 5
Select a new programme and press start.
If the error code has cleared, the machine should start and run normally. If the same error code reappears, the underlying fault will need to be investigated further.
How to Cancel a Programme on a Neff Dishwasher
If you need to cancel a programme that is currently running — for example if the wrong cycle was selected or the machine stopped mid-wash — you can usually do this by pressing and holding the start button for 3–5 seconds until the programme is cancelled. The machine will then drain any water before returning to standby.

When a Reset Won’t Fix the Problem
A reset is effective for clearing temporary glitches caused by power fluctuations or minor software errors.
