Why Is My Hisense Washing Machine Not Spinning?
When a Hisense washing machine fails to spin, the laundry is left saturated with water at the end of the cycle. Hisense machines display UNB when an unbalanced load is preventing the spin, and F03 or FP when a drainage fault is the cause. Check the display for any error codes before investigating further.
Common Causes
Unbalanced load
The most common cause. Hisense machines display UNB when an unbalanced load is detected. If laundry is bunched together on one side of the drum, the machine will reduce or cancel the spin to protect itself.
Drainage fault
A Hisense washing machine will not spin if it cannot drain the water first. If F03 or FP is displayed, check the pump filter and drain hose.
Excess foam
If FOD is displayed, too much detergent is causing excessive foam which is interfering with the spin. Use the correct type and amount of detergent.
Overloaded drum
An overloaded drum prevents the laundry from moving freely, which can prevent the machine from reaching spin speed.
Door not fully closed
The machine will not spin if the door lock is not fully engaged.
Motor fault
If F08 or E4 is displayed, there is a motor or inverter fault that will require professional attention.
Checks To Try Before Calling An Engineer
Redistribute the load
Open the door and rearrange the laundry evenly around the drum. Select a spin-only programme and try again.
Clean the pump filter
Located behind a small cover panel at the bottom front of the machine. Place towels beneath it before opening. Twist anticlockwise to remove, clear any debris and refit securely.
Check the detergent
If FOD is showing, reduce the detergent quantity and ensure you are using the correct type for an automatic washing machine.
Check the door
Ensure the door is firmly closed and nothing is caught in the seal.
Reset the machine
Switch off at the mains and leave unplugged for a few minutes. Plug back in and try a spin-only programme.

When To Contact A Professional
If the machine still fails to spin after the above checks, the fault is likely mechanical or electrical and will need to be diagnosed by a qualified engineer. Internal components should only be inspected or repaired by trained professionals.
