How To Reset a Hisense Tumble Dryer

If your Hisense tumble dryer has stopped mid-cycle, is displaying an error code, or is not responding correctly, a reset can often resolve temporary faults and restore normal operation. This guide explains how to reset a Hisense tumble dryer and what to do if the fault persists.

Before You Reset — Clean the Filter First

Before attempting a reset, always check and clean the lint filter. A blocked filter is the most common cause of tumble dryer faults including overheating and E04. The lint filter must be cleaned after every single drying cycle. On heat pump and condenser models, also clean the condenser regularly.

How To Reset a Hisense Tumble Dryer

The most effective reset method for Hisense tumble dryers is a power reset:

Step 1
Switch the tumble dryer off using the power button.

Step 2
Disconnect the dryer from the mains power supply by unplugging it from the wall socket.

Step 3
Leave the machine unplugged for at least 2 minutes. This allows the control electronics to fully discharge and reset.

Step 4
Plug the machine back in and switch on at the mains socket.

Step 5
Switch the machine on, select your programme and start the cycle.

If the error code has cleared, the machine should operate normally. If the same error code reappears, the underlying issue will need to be investigated further.

If the FULL Alert is Showing

If your Hisense tumble dryer is displaying FULL rather than an error code, the condensate water tank simply needs to be emptied. Pull out the water tank, empty it into a sink and refit it correctly. The programme should then resume. No reset is needed for this alert.

What To Do If the Fault Persists

A power reset will clear many temporary faults. However, if the same error code appears again after the reset and filter cleaning, it indicates an underlying issue that requires further investigation.
