Why Is My LG Washing Machine Not Spinning?
When an LG washing machine fails to spin, the laundry is left saturated with water at the end of the cycle. LG washing machines will display error code UE when an unbalanced load is detected and OE when a drainage fault is preventing the spin. Common Causes
Unbalanced load
The most common cause. LG machines are sensitive to load imbalance and will display UE and attempt to rebalance the load before cancelling the spin if unsuccessful.
Drainage fault
An LG washing machine will not spin if it cannot drain the water first. Check the pump filter and drain hose if there is water still in the drum.
Overloaded drum
An overloaded drum prevents the laundry from moving freely, which can cause the machine to struggle to reach spin speed.
Door not fully closed
The machine will not spin if the door lock is not fully engaged.
Faulty motor or inverter
LG washing machines use a direct drive motor. A fault with the motor or inverter board will prevent the drum from spinning.

Redistribute the load
Open the door and rearrange the laundry evenly around the drum. Select a spin-only programme and try again.
Clean the pump filter
Located behind a small cover panel at the bottom front of the machine. Place towels beneath it before opening. Twist anticlockwise to remove, clear any debris and refit securely.
Check the door
Ensure the door is firmly closed and nothing is caught in the seal.
Reset the machine
Switch off at the mains and leave unplugged for a few minutes. Plug back in and try a spin-only programme.
