Why Is My Indesit Washing Machine Not Spinning?
When an Indesit washing machine fails to spin, the laundry is left saturated with water at the end of the cycle. The machine may complete the wash programme but skip or cut short the spin, or stop mid-cycle. Most common causes include an unbalanced load, a drainage fault or a motor issue.

Unbalanced load
The most common cause. If laundry is bunched together on one side of the drum, the machine will detect excessive vibration and reduce or cancel the spin to protect itself.
Drainage fault
An Indesit washing machine will not spin if it cannot drain the water first. Check the pump filter and drain hose if there is water still in the drum.
Overloaded drum
An overloaded drum prevents the laundry from moving freely, which can cause the machine to struggle to reach spin speed.
Door not fully closed

Ensure the door is firmly closed and nothing is caught in the seal.
Reset the machine
Switch off at the mains and leave unplugged for a few minutes. Plug back in and try a spin-only programme.
