🧹 Clean the filters first — A blocked filter is the most common cause of Miele tumble dryer faults, and many fault codes will not clear until the filters have been cleaned. Clean the door fluff filter after every cycle and the plinth filter whenever the indicator light appears.

How to Reset Your Miele Tumble Dryer

Switch the tumble dryer off using the on/off button.

Switch off at the mains socket and unplug the machine from the wall.

Leave the machine unplugged for at least 2 minutes. This allows the control electronics to fully discharge and reset.

Plug the machine back in and switch on at the mains socket.

Switch the machine on using the on/off button, select your programme and start the cycle. If the fault was temporary, the dryer should return to normal operation.

When will a reset not fix the problem?
If the same fault code appears again after the reset and filter cleaning, it indicates an underlying issue that requires further investigation. Fault codes F50, F55 and F66 have user checks you can carry out at home. Others indicate technical faults requiring professional attention.
